|
|
| All of the caskets we sell have fairly neutral-colored interiors, white, off white, beige, a few light blue or pink, but nothing wild. I was looking at websites and stumbled onto the Batesville Promethean casket, available with navy blue, maroon, dark green or off white interior, and an expensive SOB too, retails for anywhere from $25000 to $37000. Are we just boring here in the midwest? Where are darker colors popular? Is this a regional thing or a cultural thing? |

not sure, but those kinds of caskets can typicaly be found in funeral homes that service a black clientel.
You can have just about any interior you want but you'll need to give the manufacturer 3-4 weeks notice, so don't wait until your dead.
I want a leather interior. |

| It was the off-white "orchid" or whatever they call it. That sure is a showy casket, not for shy, understated people. It would appear that some young rappers have used that casket too, sorta the Escalade of caskets. |

All that's missing are the gargantuan rims and $5k sound system!
(maybe that's a special order?) heheh
The Promethean is nice, that's for sure. I'm kinda partial to the Millenium (the stainless steel equivalent)

| I checked out VerPlank's website, they have key locks on some of their models...I hope they're keyed alike, how else would you open the casket later? WOuld the key go home with the survivors/next of kin? |

I think so and know they are getting a patent for that. Hate to dig someone up later and have to call a locksmith...

| Richard, the casket won't be unattended until the vault is sealed and the grave is being closed...who are they trying to protect their loved-one from? I think this may be an answer to a non-existent need. Interesting gimmick, but a gimmick nonetheless. |
